Its a journey..trying out a resemblance of the works of others, those we admire, maybe wish to be like, we, as students of art in our youth.
Similar to the influences of later more accumulated self-aware expressions: music, art, beautiful language, as well as the bad things that may happen and seek a safe expression for our grief. we are influenced.
What makes a totally original work of art?..
Perhaps we would have to live in a vacume not to use those bits and traces of what we have gathered in our collections, even unknown to ourselves. A true amalgum of the adhired stuff of delight.
We may call it our own. Perhaps its the self reaching self with a voice, ‘come from elsewhere’. That transformed moment in time when the place and clock dissapear and as if by birth, beyond our own doing something comes forth.
