ENERGY IS NOT INVISIBLE
In general, most artists are sensitive people. We sense things, use hunches, read signs, listen to inner promptings, and we are intuitve.
March has come in with a whole new kind of fast moving energy. I find myself looking at the world whirl by while I take 5 and settle into a more peaceful countenance for the process of studio time.
Creativity is a delicate matter. We can’t crank it out like cupcakes. It needs to come from a certain connection to an inner space. It’s a kind of electrical current that runs from the heart… to my imagination. My arms and fingers begin to ache for clay, or paint, or simply a pencil and paper.
Those who say there is no time to practice, never saw 3:00 a.m. My dad used to tell me, “When the inspiration hits… you’ve just got to get up and use it”.
Lovely March!
